The bus was carrying a group of employees on an outing and was travelling from Pune towards Kashid Beach. The accident took place between approximately 11.15 am and 11.30 am when the driver lost control at a sharp turn in the ghat section. The bus first hit a car and then rammed into the mountainside. Around 50 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Injured patients received immediate first aid at the Mangaon Sub District Hospital and were then shifted at around 9.00 pm to Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital &amp; Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune for advanced trauma evaluation and treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital received 42 patients, including 27 male and 15 female patients, of whom 40 have been admitted for inpatient care. On arrival, patients underwent emergency triage, stabilisation and clinical assessment, followed by rapid coordination with specialty teams including Orthopaedics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and General Surgery. The clinical presentation includes fractures, facial and jaw injuries and cases requiring general surgical evaluation for associated trauma. The hospital confirmed that all admitted patients remain stable and are under multidisciplinary supervision with continuous monitoring and treatment as per clinical protocols.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrauma care is about preparedness and teamwork. From the moment the intimation came in, the hospital system moved as one unit so that every patient could receive timely emergency care and the right specialist support without delay,\u201d said Hon\u2019ble Dr. Bhagyashree Patil, Pro Chancellor, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune (Deemed to be University).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the moment we were informed that accident patients were being shifted to us, the hospital\u2019s trauma system was activated at full capacity. Emergency teams, diagnostics and specialty departments moved in parallel to ensure every patient received immediate medical attention, timely evaluation and the right clinical pathway. No life threatening injuries have been reported and all patients are stable and under close multidisciplinary care,\u201d said Hon\u2019ble Dr. Yashraj Patil, Trustee and Treasurer, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune (Deemed to be University).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReceiving a large group of trauma patients requires structured clinical pathways and disciplined coordination. Admissions were completed swiftly and patients were routed to the appropriate departments so that investigations, specialist opinions and treatment plans could be taken up in an organised manner without compromising ongoing hospital services,\u201d said Dr. Rekha Arcot, Dean, Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital &amp; Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll patients received immediate treatment on arrival. Care pathways have been initiated across specialties and patients continue to receive the required medical and surgical care under multidisciplinary monitoring,\u201d said Dr. H. H. Patil Medical College, Hospital &amp; Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmergency teams activated the trauma response immediately, ensuring prompt triage, stabilisation, imaging and timely specialist evaluation.
