Pune .In honor of World Mental Health Day, MIT University of Art, Design and Technology (MIT ADT), Vishwarajbagh, Pune, celebrated ‘Mental Health Week’ with an impactful public awareness campaign. The initiative, organized by the School of Education and Research in collaboration with the School of Vedic Sciences, aimed to highlight the importance of mental health and sensitize society about the issue.<\/p>\n

The week culminated with students delivering powerful messages on mental health through street plays and rallies in the village of Loni-Kalbhor. The event was inaugurated by Pro-Vc Dr. Anant Chakradeo and Dr. Mohit Dubey, who flagged off the rally.<\/p>\n

The occasion saw participation from several key figures, including Dr. Priya Singh, Principal in charge of the School of Education and Research, and Dr. Madhavi Godbole, Principal in charge of the School of Vedic Sciences. Hundreds of students, along with faculty and staff, actively participated in the rally.<\/p>\n

Upon reaching Loni-Kalbhor, the students, under the guidance of Prof. Pushpa Atole and Dr. Sashikala Yadav, performed a gripping street play titled “Pinjare Se Mukti” (Freedom from the Cage), centered on mental health. The performance was well received by the villagers, with the local Sarpanch, Mrs. Savitatai Landge, attending the event and lauding the students’ efforts.<\/p>\n

Dr. Neeta Mhawan, the event coordinator, worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the rally and the week-long activities. The event was held under the guidance of MIT ADT\u2019s leadership, including Vice-Chancellor and President Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive Director Dr. Sunita Karad, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramchandra Pujeri, and Registrar Dr. Mahesh Chopde.<\/p>\n
