Rotary Dialysis Center inaugurated for Underprivileged Patients Across Maharashtra

The Dialysis Centre set up by the Rotary Club of Poona Downtown with CSR and private donations established Nephro ICU cubicle Centre, an essential component for the Centre’s MJPJAY registration, at Draupadabai Murlidhar Khedekar Hospital, Bopodi Pune recently. It was inaugurated by Ex-Deputy Mayor, Pune, Smt. Sunita Wadekar and Mr Anil Bhaamre ,Country Manager , Darshana Industries.
On this occasion Rotarian Anil Goel (Duroshox Pvt Ltd), Mr. Santosh Karvade (CFO, Darshana Industries), Dr. Gunesh Bagade (PMC), Mr. Parshuram Wadekar (RPI), Rotary Club of Poona Downtown President Rotarian Aditi Bhende, Director & Coordinator Rotarian Dr. Zimra Israel , and Rotary members were present .
Rotarian Aditi Bhende said “The 10-bed, state-of-the-art facility, managed by CG Nephrocare, now features a dedicated Nephro ICU, enhancing its capacity to treat patients with critical renal conditions. Over time, the number of patients availing of the facility has steadily increased, with over 7,500 dialysis procedures successfully completed for Pune residents to date. She honoured Rotarian Anil Goel (Duroshox Pvt Ltd), Mr. Santosh Karvade (CFO, Darshana Industries) for their valuable contribution in this project.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotarian Dr. Zimra Israel said “Now it is in third year of operation, it will operate in two shifts, enabling 300–400 dialysis procedures per month, effectively doubling its service capacity and providing critical support to more patients in need. The Centre has been registered under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY), expanding its reach to serve underprivileged patients from across Maharashtra. The Dialysis Centre has achieved a major milestone”
